Fifteen young adult burn survivors headed to Big White this winter for our annual Thrive Retreat, a five-day getaway filled with fun, connection, and personal growth.
Participants hit the slopes for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing, then cheered on the Kelowna Rockets at a WHL game. In quieter moments, they experienced a calming sound journey and explored hypnotherapy techniques to improve sleep and support mental wellness. Group discussions around self-image and self-love helped foster open conversations and lasting confidence.
Thrive is designed to support young adults as they move beyond Burn Camp and into adulthood. It’s a chance to reconnect, form new friendships, and build the tools needed to navigate life with resilience and self-compassion.
Thank you to our supporters for making this experience possible. Your generosity helps young survivors continue to grow, heal, and thrive.
