The Burn Fund is proud to contribute funds to the ground-breaking BC Fire Fighter Resiliency Program. This peer-based program offers tools for fire fighters to improve their resilience and well-being. 

The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association (BCPFFA) is a leader in mental health advocacy. This program is a partnership between the BCPFFA, Dr. Duncan Shields and Dr. David Kuhl from The Blueprint at UBC’s Faculty of Medicine.

With expert and peer guidance, participants are led through self-exploration and skills development for those looking to strengthen their operational stress competence and capacity at any stage of their career.

The 3.5-day program brings together 8 First Responder participants, with professional facilitators and 2 teams lead First Responders who have completed the program.
