Home Away

Offering burn and trauma survivors, fire fighters, and their loved ones accommodations in Vancouver.

Burn Fund Centre

Located in the heart of Vancouver

Burn and trauma survivors, fire fighters and their families stay at the Burn Fund Centre when they must travel to Vancouver for medical treatment.

With eight short-term suites, a communal kitchen, a living area and a patio, this beautiful space in the heart of Main Street allows guests to focus on recovery and connecting with others rather than the logistics of their stay.

Stay at Home Away

Year-round support

If you are a burn or trauma survivor, fire fighter or family member who requires accommodations and you meet the eligibility criteria, contact us.

Every guest has a portion of their stay covered by generous donors of the Burn Fund. Guests are asked to contribute $25 per night for their stay, but the true cost is subsidized and is closer to $100 per night. Bookings are based on availability.

  • Burn, trauma or a plastic patient undergoing treatment or immediate care.
  • Immediate family members and/or primary caregivers of survivors.
  • A professional fire fighter (current or retired BCPFFA member) or their immediate family member (for any medical purposes).
  • Must live a minimum of 100 km from the Burn Fund Centre.

Meet Benji
