The B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund has made a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the B.C. Fires Appeal.

As wildfires continue to burn across the central and southern interior of B.C. and with thousands of people still displaced from their homes, the B.C. Professional Fire Fighter’s Burn Fund proudly supports the Canadian Red Cross in their wildfire relief efforts.

“Professional firefighters know exactly what it’s like to face uncertainty, loss and the long road to recovery. The Canadian Red Cross is grateful for the B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund’s generous donation to the B.C. Fires Appeal that will help us make that road a little bit gentler for the tens of thousands of people impacted by this summer’s wildfires.” says Kimberley Nemrava, Canadian Red Cross Vice-President for B.C. & Yukon.

“The goal of the B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund has always been to provide life saving, life supporting and life enriching services to the people in B.C. and the Yukon and those affected by the B.C. wildfires are no exception.” Says Gord Ditchburn, President of the B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. “In supporting the Canadian Red Cross, the thousands of individuals who have been directly impacted by this on-going crisis will continue to receive the support they so greatly need.”
