Mark’s journey will begin on June 1, 2016 from Kitimat, British Columbia (Mark’s hometown) where he will bike across Canada to St. John’s Newfoundland along the Trans Canada Highway for approximately 7,667 km.
All donations raised will benefit the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.
His journey is expected to take approximately 70 days with about 14 rest days in between (this route includes a ferry). Each day mark will bike an average of 120+ kilometres.
The majority of the cross-Canada ride will be in the southern half of the country as most of the population lives near the Canada/US border where food, bike supplies and accommodations are easiest to find and Mark will have the opportunity to visit as many Fire Departments along the way as possible!
