There is no better time to plan and practice your home fire escape plan!

While families are at home with their children, it is a great opportunity to discuss fire safety and burn awareness. Every week, the Burn Fund will be bringing you awareness tips and activities to practice at home. First up is home fire escape planning.

We understand if you’re secretly planning your home escape…Why not make it a fun family activity?

Step 1: As a family, tour your home and identify two ways out of every room.

Step 2: Put pen to paper. Draw a map and write down the exits and smoke detectors.

Step 3: Together choose an outside meeting place a safe distance from the home.

Step 4: While being mindful of social distancing, practice your escape route together!
