We’re excited to announce an event that’s sure to make a splash in our community – our upcoming Duck Race Fundraiser on May 25th, 2024, at the Penticton Channel.

Join us for an exhilarating event as the Penticton Firefighters release a fleet of rubber ducks into the Penticton Channel, marking the start of an exciting race. When you purchase a duck, each duck will be assigned a unique ticket number for identification. The first three ducks to cross the finish line, along with the last duck, will claim cash prizes. Winners will be determined based on the ticket numbers corresponding to each duck purchased; no random number generated (RNG) software will be utilized. All duck holders are welcome to attend the race.

Following the race, we’ll be hosting a BBQ and providing engaging activities for all ages.

We’re proud to offer cash prizes, including $10,000 for the winner, $5,000 for second place, $2,500 for third place, and even a $1,000 prize for the last place finisher.

Your participation supports the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, allowing us to continue providing essential services to our community. Proceeds from the duck race will fund burn survivor programs year-round, including Burn Camp and the Home Away Program, which provides accommodations to survivors, fire fighters and their families who must travel to Vancouver for medical treatment.
