Our 24th annual Burn Camp Kick-Off event took place last Sunday, July 16th, 2017 at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver!
This year’s fun and successful event was jointly hosted by the North Vancouver City Fire Fighters Local 296, North Vancouver District Fire Fighters Local 1183 and the West Vancouver Fire Fighters Local 1525.
Over 300 hundred invited guests attended, including our VIP burn campers and their families, all attendees enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast, a hovercraft demonstration by the Canadian Coast Guard and other fun activities.
This year the Burn Fund sent 68 campers and 56 counselors and support staff to our Burn Camp located at Cheakamus Centre in beautiful Brackendale, BC.
Generous donations were made by several groups including fire fighter locals from around the province, the Greater Vancouver Motorcycle Club and by a few of our very own campers! Through the efforts made by each of these groups, the grand total raised for Burn Camp this year was an incredible $215,900.80!!
