Vancouver – The BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund, salve www.burnfund.org, are very
excited to receive a generous donation of $15,000 from the RBC Foundation.
“We are so grateful that RBC Foundation has contributed these essential funds, the
donation allows us to deliver our annual Burn Awareness Week (BAW) program. This vital
program teaches children in Grades K-7 how to be responsible for their personal safety
through burn & fire safety games and videos. It also aids in increasing family awareness of
potentially harmful situations,” commented Tim Baillie, Chair of the BAW Committee and a
Director with the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.
Jennifer Cabeldu, Manager of Donations, RBC Foundation remarked, “Funding education
is one of RBC’s top priorities; we are very proud to support the BC Burn Fund and Burn
Awareness Week to ensure children and youth learn more about fire prevention.”
