A Holiday Tradition

Bright Nights in Stanley Park is the single largest fundraising event for the Burn Fund. Since its first year in 1997, Bright Nights is made possible by hundreds of dedicated fire fighters who travel from across the province to volunteer thousands of hours to string three million Christmas lights and create a magical wonderland.

Bright Nights is a free event with admission by donation, and every contribution helps support the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund survivor programs and services. In addition to a wide array of light displays, Bright Nights will include fan favourites like the iconic fire truck, giant red reindeer and the tunnel of lights in the plaza. There will be fire fighters welcoming guests, plenty of candy canes, and the barn will be transformed into Santa’s workshop for holiday photos.

The holiday event is hosted in partnership with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. A portion of the proceeds from the train’s ticket sales are donated to the BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund. The Park Board has donated more than $2.5 million to the Burn Fund since the event partnership began in 1998.

Tickets will be available exclusively online at vancouver.ca/brightnights for a designated time slot. Due to the high demand for this cherished holiday attraction and with limited tickets available, guests are encouraged to act quickly and secure their tickets in advance.

Pricing (exclusive of GST & service fees) is as follows:
– Adults (19 to 64 years): $15
– Seniors (65 years and up) and youth (13 to 18 years): $13
– Child (3 to 12 years) $11
– Children (2 years and under) Free

The Bright Nights 50/50 is an extension of the holiday event with proceeds from both fundraisers supporting the Burn Fund’s programs year-round.

Visit Bright Nights from November 30, 2023 – January 1, 2024

The 26th annual Bright Nights in Stanley Park will be celebrated with twinkling light displays and warm welcomes from off-duty fire fighter volunteers every night.

Admission to Bright Nights is by donation.

Thank you to the hundreds of fire fighters who travel from across the province to volunteer during setup, operations and takedown. Without their support, this event would simply not be possible!

Bright Nights 50/50 Tickets on Sale November 16, 2023

Bright Nights 50/50 tickets will be on sale from November 16 to midnight on December 31, 2023. Proceeds from each ticket help fund programs for burn survivors across British Columbia, including Burn Camp and the Home Away Program.

Last year’s jackpot reached an incredible $434,625 with the winner taking home half! Tickets for the Bright Nights 50/50 are one for $15, three for $40, six for $60, and 25 for $250. The draw will take place on Friday, January 5, 2024.

The Bright Nights 50/50 was created in 2020 to recoup lost funds during the cancellation of Bright Nights due to the pandemic. It also supported fundraising efforts in 2021 when mechanical issues and the theft of electrical cords forced the premature closure of the event and in 2022 when the Stanley Park Train was not running. The Bright Nights 50/50 is an important holiday fundraiser for the Burn Fund.

Bright Nights 50/50 tickets can be purchased online.
